Welcome to my humble mumbles!

Best Blogger Tips
Over the years, I won't say exactly how many (but suffice it to say that I was in high school when President Kennedy was shot) I've thought that it would be a good idea to keep a journal of my thoughts, contemporary things of interest, and what was going on in my life.  But because of the usual excuses of "life just got in the way," I never got more than a couple of days written down before the idea fell by the wayside.  And now, because I've such a minuscule memory cache (in my head not my computer LOL), I regret that I didn't take the time to record my life as it was happening.  The only thing I remember is that I forgot so much !!

We now live in such a fast-paced, data-filled, age, that my hope is for my family and friends, and anyone else who happens to be reading this, to take the time to write down a little bit of their day every day.  It's so easy with computers and voice recorders, minicams, cell phones, etc,(and BLOGS!)  that it seems a sin not to start an autobiography of sorts.  In my defense, in the "olden days" when I was growing up, we actually had to handwrite with a pen or pencil in our trusty "diary," to record our deepest thoughts, and then we had to find a good hiding place for it, so snoopy siblings or parents wouldn't invade our privacy! LOL

I wish I could tell stories to my kids and grandkids about my life, but they're just not on the tip of my tongue.  If I'd have kept a journal, I could peruse through it to remind myself of funny or curious things that I'd experienced. If nothing else, I want to leave this earth with some sort of legacy, although I certainly don't plan on going anytime in the near future, not even close.  But I just don't want to put off my musings any longer.

So thus begins "McMom's Mumblings."  I call them my mumblings because that seems to be how my memory recalls them...kind of like trying to listen to someone that's mumbling...you keep saying "Say again?  What?  Pardon me"?  It's very frustrating,  So I'm just planning on writing what's on my mind for the day, and if I recall something from my past, I'm just gonna write it down LOL!  For the most part, I'll try to keep this all "PG-rated."  Hopefully I will sometimes amuse you, and sometimes make you think, but always  make you want to keep reading!

I'm planning (so typical of me...hahahaha) to also post the major California and/or National headline of the day, with perhaps a link or two.  Whatever I feel like, after all, it's MY blog!

Comments are always welcome, but please be gentle with this old gal !  And just for grins, why not be one of my "Followers?!"
