They Say the Memory is the First Thing to Go!

Well, whomever "they" are,  I can't refute them.  I had to testify as an expert witness in two different court cases today.  Ugh...a public speaker I'm not.  I did OK, but twice during my first testimony I totally blanked out on the word I was looking for; "association" was the first and "signal" the second.  I felt like such a buffoon!  I just sat there stammering, how professional!  Oh well, such is life. Then, when I turned my phone back on after leaving court at the end of the day, I saw I had a text message from another DDA (Deputy District Attorney) on a case that I'm scheduled to testify on the day after tomorrow.  I thought "Oh SNAP, now what?"  Well...good news for ALL of us.  The defendant in the case (involving distribution of child pornography), just pled out to a LIFE sentence (which really means 25 years to life)!  Now that's what I'M talkin' about!  I wish all the scumbags of the earth would do the same.  Now if "life" really meant "til death," I'd be a super happy camper!  On top of that, I don't have to testify now....YAY!  All in all a decent ending to my work day.

Then I came home! LOL  Actually, when I got home I quickly donned my running gear and took off on a quick (well not real quick) 2 mile jog, before I had a chance to talk myself out of it...tsk tsk!.  I did "best" my time for this particular route by one minute per mile though....happy!  Now I will do a 30-40 minute "Wii - Active Fit" workout.  I will be feeling pretty self-righteous while watching "The Biggest Loser" tonight.  I think last week I was eating a bag of chips and drinking a diet soda while watching...ouch...sorry Jillian...sorry Bob! Hahahahaha!

Well, that's it for now...gotta workout before I change my mind...what mind??  Forgot where I put it....LOL!
